Privacy policy
We Love Finland collects as little personal data as possible, and this page explains, in plain language, what we do collect, why, and what your rights are under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
Last updated: July 28, 2026
Who is responsible for your data
The data controller is Anthony Sylvestre, operating the We Love Finland media (welovefinland.fi). For anything related to your personal data, contact hei@welovefinland.fi.
What we collect and why
Partner applications and contact messages: if you send one of our forms, we store the details you submit (the place or business you mention, your email and your message) so we can review and reply. The legal basis is taking steps prior to entering into a contract.
We never sell your data, and we don't use it for advertising.
Where your data lives
Form submissions are stored in our database, hosted by Supabase. Transactional email (for example the notification we receive when you submit a form) is delivered through Resend. Both act as data processors on our behalf.
Analytics & cookies
We use Google Analytics 4 to understand anonymous visit statistics. It is loaded only after you accept the cookie banner; if you decline, no analytics cookies are set. Your choice applies across welovefinland.fi, including the Finland's Best Market Hall 2026 pages.
How long we keep it
Partner applications and contact messages are kept for as long as needed to handle them and any resulting collaboration, after which they are deleted.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you can ask to access, correct, delete or export the personal data we hold about you, and you can object to or restrict its processing. Email hei@welovefinland.fi and we'll handle it, no forms, no runaround.
If you believe we've handled your data improperly, you can lodge a complaint with the Finnish supervisory authority: the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman (tietosuoja.fi).
